Located in the heart of Seattle's historic landmark district, Columbia City, Salted Sea is a new modern American seafood restaurant and raw bar serving fresh and local seafare with a Vietnamese twist.
Salted Sea opened Spring 2015, standing upon a site with much history, dating back to 1905 when the original structure was built as a friendly neighborhood barbershop and poolroom. Since then, the building has been home to several local businesses over the years with the most recent being Angie’s Tavern, who served residents from 1985 until 2011.
The original structure has since been replaced. In the same vein as those before us, we are following suit to keep local businesses alive and to serve the 98118. We are a family-owned and community-oriented restaurant whose menu is crafted and influenced by roots stemming from both sides of the vast Pacific Ocean - Vietnam and the Pacific Northwest.
